Details
The Cash Flow & Budget Planner helps you look forward instead of only reviewing what already happened.
Plan the money you expect to receive, the bills and expenses you know are coming, what you want to set aside, and how much cash you expect your business to have left each month.
Use It To
- Plan expected monthly sales and income
- Plan upcoming business expenses
- Budget for materials, inventory, and job costs
- Keep track of recurring bills
- Prepare for annual renewals
- Plan money to set aside for taxes
- Plan owner pay
- Account for loan payments and other spending
- Set a minimum cash goal for your business
- See your expected ending cash each month
- Spot months where cash may get tight
- Compare your plan with your actual ending balance
How It Works
- Start with the amount of business cash you currently have available.
- Enter the income you expect to receive and the money you expect to spend each month.
- The workbook automatically calculates your expected ending cash and carries that amount into the following month.
- Set a Minimum Cash Goal to tell the planner how much you want to keep available in the business. The workbook then shows whether each month leaves you with a cash cushion or puts you below your goal.
- You can also enter your actual ending cash at the end of the month to see how reality compared with your plan.
Bills & Commitments - Keep recurring and upcoming obligations in one place, including things like:
- Software and subscriptions
- Insurance
- Rent
- Website and domain renewals
- Contractors
- Loan payments
- Licenses
- Professional services
- Inventory commitments
- Other recurring business costs
The planner calculates a monthly equivalent for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly bills so you can see what those commitments really cost your business each month.

How This Is Different From the Income & Expense Tracker
The Income & Expense Tracker records what already happened.
The Cash Flow & Budget Planner helps you plan what you expect to happen next.
Using both gives you a way to compare your actual business activity with what you planned.
